From what I have read from the Koran, it is very selfish way of life. Men dominate, they are very violent towards their women and children. CAT STEVENS was greek by decent, a lovely person. Islam as a way of life is so far from the person I know as CAT STEVENS.

To all who make comments about islam and whatever Yusuf said or didn't say about Rushdie: Why does that really have a meaning when it comes to his music? Music is a universal language, and some people have been blessed with the ability to create the most wonderful songs. If all my favourite songs were written by criminals, I still wouldn't be able to dislike the music. This is an amazing song that I love, and what Yusuf Islam does really doesn't interest me at all.

@GTCism Why can't you just be happy for him? Just because it isn't your way doesn't mean it's any less valid than your belief. You may believe that God is real and Allah isn't (though, technically Allah is God , just in Arabic) but, until you're dead, you can't know so judging others is a waste of time and energy.
